Hanhaba style Obi belt for Japanese kimono in yellow fabric, with and orange & silver Obijime (cord)
Obi - Double sided with a different self fabric design on each side. One side has an Asanoha motif which depicts hemp leaves representing growth and good health. The other side has a Tachiwaku motif, a pattern that resembles rising steam, a techique which originally required advanced skills to execute.
The outer fabric is a silk-like type material with an interlining between the two layers.
Obijime - The Obi is held in place with an Obijime. This is a cord which here has been hand-made in silk with silver metallic threads

Obijime length - 146cm (57.4in) width - 0.9cm (0.3in)
